Face to Face + Taklong Island National Marine Reserve (TINMR) Trip

Located in Guimaras, the TINMR possesses the unique beauty and richness of marine and terrestrial habitats characterized by sea caves, rock formations and 18 white sand beaches with pristine and clear waters. It serves as haven of fishes with high economic value and rich marine biodiversity. It has 53.50 hectares of mangroves, 33 hectares of seagrasses and 152 hectares of coral reefs. The PA is a home of 26 species of mangroves; 9 species of seagrasses, 114 species of hard corals and 17 species of soft corals. During the site visit, the ecological significance of TINMR and best practices on MPA and Marine Ecosystem Management and Governance will be discussed.
